"You are terribly unlucky, and life will be inconsistent - there will be plenty of ups and downs. And for certain, you will become very famous. You will be well-known not only in Thailand but abroad as well...'"
While growing up, his father was a musician at one point, having even had the chance to play on the national radio station, at which time there was only one radio station in the country. But for the majority of Prayura Uluchadha's childhood, his father was... an "avid drinker," and absent from his parental responsibilities. His mother, a seamstress, was effectively left alone with the task of fending for the children. Prayura still often recalls seeing his mother cry.
Prayura's artistic ability was detected at an early age. His teachers in school would often call on him to draw anything from maps on the blackboard, to the human anatomy... His determination to be accepted into the Silpakorn University had begun as soon as his love for and talents in the arts blossomed. Through war, poverty, and the military draft, Prayura was able not only to attend Silpakorn University, but to graduate with two degrees. |

Prayura's first job after graduating from Silpakorn University was copying poster advertisements at a store on the side of the Chareon Krung Road. The work conditions and pay were lacking, but he was able to develop and appreciate, his copy skills. After that, he worked in a small furniture store. Finally, the third job he landed was somewhat upscale - it was a teaching position at the Srisart School. However, soon thereafter his former teacher from Silpakorn asked him to help teach at the Silpa Suksa School, a preparatory art institution, instead. Not many years later, he became the Headmaster there. Before the age of 30, Prayura became the Registrar of Silpakorn University, a feat that very little, if any at all, have accomplished. It was here where he first gained notoriety - but because of financial problems that surfaced at the university due to no involvement of his own, Prayura was forced to resign.
Many years later, Prayura was found deep in the woods studying ancient art...
