"By the third year, I had used more than 300 rolls of film, which is actually not really too considerable an amount. Certainly, if you calculate a roll of film at 280 baht it's not a small amount either. But in the end, in designing the book with the cooperation of the printing press, we only used 170 - 200 photographs... I never intended for the book to boast the prettiest pictures of wildlife. I was hoping, rather, that it would be a book containing photographs of wildlife that illustrated and helped to educate people on life in the wilderness, and how wildlife adapted to changes in their environment... Accommodating physically to changes undergone by the forest is not terribly difficult; however, accommodating mentally is..." |
