For us Thais, we are also lucky that we can find a little bit of the rest of the world right here in Bangkok. Endearingly known as "Little India", the Pahurat area, as well as many other pocket neighborhoods in Bangkok, have flourished here as Indian communities, providing its residents with the comforts of home and intoxicating the passersby with the sweet scents and sights of a different culture and way of life.

Joseph Mallord William Turner, a Talent of "Giant" Proportions
Despite his diminutive stature, soft-spoken demeanor, and disheveled appearance, Joseph Mallord William Turner graced the art world with a gargantuan and illustrious talent. Born in London in 1775 to a wig-weaver father and mother who became severely mentally ill, Turner was sent to spend his formative years with his uncle, where at fourteen, he was accepted into the prestigious Royal Academy Schools in London. From still life to impressionist art, his ability to capture nature has left us with many poignant and memorable pieces
